Local artisans and craft-enthusiasts weren’t the only ones to benefit from Etsy Vancouver Market: Made in Canada Marketplace this September. The third-annual Etsy Vancouver event raised $14,333 CAD for The KidSafe Project Society (KidSafe), a Vancouver-based charity with a mission to provide nurturing safe havens for vulnerable inner-city children when schools are traditionally closed.

Etsy Vancouver hosted a successful marketplace late September of this year, with more than 7,000 people in attendance during the two-day event. Half of each attendee ticket went towards KidSafe.

Confirmed by Danielle Rana, KidSafe Manager of Development & Community Engagement, the funds raised by Etsy Vancouver are equivalent to 35 children’s spaces in the charity’s 2-week Winter Break program.

We're so grateful to have community partners like Etsy Vancouver who can make our programs possible for our children!

More than thrilled with the news, the Etsy Vancouver team is, once again, partnering with KidSafe for their upcoming event, Etsy Vancouver Market: Winter 2016. The event will take place on December 3 – 4 to celebrate the local Etsy community. Expect to see a variety of handcrafted goods such as handmade jewelry, home décor and skincare products.
